Many people ask about the songs we've chosen for the story soundtracks. Each story has its own musical sound. Getting to know Brazilian music is sort of like being a teen-ager again in the sense that it's genuinely exciting to discover new talent - and it's all new to someone that's not grown up here! Those better connected than I will notice an evolution in my selections as I've come to know Brazil. My favorites are bossa nova, samba, sertanejo, MPB and funk Carioca. Even pagode finds its way onto the list 😘.
Brazil has a knack for infusing other genres like pop, jazz, and funk with a distinct Brazilian flavor. The result is an infectious fusion of musical styles.
