How do I cancel my membership?
If you have a monthly membership (subscription) you'll see a link of the top of your Account page (click on your NAME, top-right) like this: CANCEL. That will stop all billing. You will continue to have full access to everything through your monthly anniversary date.
What are the differences between the plans?
All plans give you full access to all online materials. Even new content and courses as they are added. The only difference between plans is the access to the course material - monthly. 6-months, 12-months, lifetime. *AND, in order to get be able to easily download ALL of the course videos you must be at least have 12-month membership.
What's the level of Portuguese?
We've defined 3 levels:
Level 1 (beginner, intermediate): knows at least some basic vocabulary and grammar. We suggest Duolingo as a great tool to get started from zero. Once you have 30-50 useful words memorized, and can say Oi, tudo bem! you're ready to start with Semantica.
Level 2 (advanced beginner, intermediate): We have a lot of content at this level and it varies from advanced-beg to advanced-int.
Level 3 (advanced): Most of the stories at this level are difficult for all but thoose that have been studying for 2+ years.
Can I switch plans?
Yes.
If for example, you started with a monthly subscription and 12 days into it decided to switch to the 12-month membership. Tiy would go to your Account page and click on the link to upgrade to the 12-month, confirm, and be on your way. The new 12-month membership would kick-in on the expiration day of your monthly membership. Nothing else changes. Your test results and progress data are retained.
Can I use this off-line?
There are several advantages to accessing the course from our web pages - the written explanations, the ability to ask a teacher a question on the page, the quizzes etc. But, we also let you study off-line by downloading the dialog and all of the supporting video content as well. SEE THE NEXT FAQ FOR DETAILS.
Can I download the videos?
The 12-month and lifetime memberships will grant you access to a downloads page with links to download all of the videos: dialogs, pronunciation training, breakdowns, teaching, grammar videos and more. All lesser memberships allow the dialogs (only) be downloaded directly from each lesson page. Downloaded videos can be easily played on any computer or, synced with an app like iTunes for easy loading onto devices.
